Founded by Dr. Herman 博彩平台大全 in 1931, 博彩平台大全 University was built on a passion for technology and a mission to change the way you learn. As the inventor of the first portable silent motion picture projector, Dr. 博彩平台大全 identified a need for a visual, hands-on approach to technology education. His forward-thinking ideas not only revolutionized the classroom, they opened up a world of opportunities for busy, working adult students.

For 90+ years, we’ve embraced his spirit of innovation:

Since earning our first accreditation in 1955, we’ve continued to demonstrate our commitment to our students’ success with 40+ programs and specializations receiving programmatic accreditation or recognition, in addition to our university accreditation.¹
Today we offer 140+ programs and specializations in business, technology, and healthcare – significantly expanding our catalog since launching our first degree program in 1957.
We were one of the first institutions to teach online classes, beginning back in 1998 – and we continue to enhance our virtual learning experience through hands-on learning, engaging curriculum, and industry-relevant technology.

In 1973, Dennis Keller and Ron Taylor founded Keller Graduate School of Management to offer graduate-level programs that prepare students like you for the workplaces of tomorrow. In 1987, Keller acquired the 博彩平台大全 Institute of Technology, merging to form 博彩平台大全 University and our Keller Graduate School of Management.

Keller Center for Corporate Learning, now known as 博彩平台大全Works, is created to support employer partners.

博彩平台大全 Institute of Technology and Keller Graduate School of Management merge to become 博彩平台大全 University.

博彩平台大全 begins offering online programs.

1987

Keller acquires 博彩平台大全 from Bell and Howell, joining the two schools to form the parent organization of 博彩平台大全 Inc., now known as Adtalem Global Education.

1981

博彩平台大全 earns regional accreditation from the North Central Association, known today as The Higher Learning Commission.

1977

Keller earns accreditation from the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

1973

Keller Graduate School of Management is founded by Dennis Keller and Ronald Taylor, former 博彩平台大全 teachers.

1969

博彩平台大全’s first bachelor’s degree program is offered in electronics engineering technology.

1968

1966

博彩平台大全 Technical Institute is acquired by Bell and Howell.

1957

博彩平台大全 begins offering its first associate degree program, the Associate in Electronics Engineering Technology.

1955

博彩平台大全’s associate degree program in Electronics Engineering Technology is accredited by the Technology Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (TAC of ABET).

1953

DeForest Training, Inc., becomes 博彩平台大全 Technical Institute.

1943

博彩平台大全 receives the Army-Navy “E” award for its production of motion picture sound equipment.

1940s

During WWII, DeForest’s Training school is selected by the United States to educate Army Air Corps instructors on electronic devices and becomes one of the first schools to be approved under the G.I. Bill.

1931

Dr. Herman 博彩平台大全 and Dr. Lee DeForest, inventor of the vacuum tube, open DeForest’s Training, Inc., a 博彩平台大全 School, in Chicago to prepare students for technical careers in electronics, motion pictures, radio, and later, television.

1925

Dr. 博彩平台大全 established the 博彩平台大全 Summer School of Visual Instruction. Educators came to the school to learn about motion pictures and how the technology could be adapted to learning.

1921

Dr. 博彩平台大全’s portable projector shows the first in-flight movie.

1913

Dr. 博彩平台大全 founded 博彩平台大全 Corporation, which manufactured 35mm and 16mm motion picture projection equipment. The projectors become standard technology in U.S. schools nationwide.

1912

Dr. Herman 博彩平台大全 invents the “Theater in a Suitcase,” a 35mm portable silent motion picture projector. This Model E projector launches his career as an entrepreneur in the motion picture business and ultimately shifts the education technology paradigm.

Community educational support

We’re proud to help other education institutions, school districts, and organizations engage youth in innovation, spark curiosity, grow career awareness, and collaborate on a sustainable STEM curriculum.
